Weld Bolt

Description

HBS Fasteners manufactures premium Weld Bolts, also known as Projection Weld Studs. These bolts are engineered with specialized “projections” or “nibs” under the head that concentrate electrical current during the welding process to create a localized fusion. This design allows the bolt to be permanently fused to a metal sheet or plate without the need for additional nuts or washers on the reverse side, making them ideal for high-speed automated production.

Technical Specifications

• Standard: Manufactured in compliance with DIN 34817 and ISO standards.

• Head Style: Flat or flanged head with three or four welding projections for a balanced and secure bond.

• Weld Type: Designed for Resistance Projection Welding (RPW) or Arc Welding.

• Size Range: Available in standard metric diameters from M3 to M12.

• Threading: High-precision metric threads designed to withstand the heat of the welding process without distortion.

Material & Quality Excellence

• Stainless Steel: Available in high-grade Austenitic (A2, A4) for corrosion-resistant weldments.

• Other Materials: Produced in Low-Carbon Steel (for optimal weldability) and specialized Alloy Steel.

• Manufacturing Control: Using raw materials from our in-house wire drawing facility, we ensure the steel has the correct chemical composition for clean, spatter-free welding and high joint strength.

• Surface Finishing: Usually supplied in Natural (Plain) finish for better conductivity during welding; Copper or Zinc plating available for post-weld protection.
