The triangular drive system offers a distinct advantage: the vertical walls of the triangle provide a solid surface for torque transfer, yet the unusual shape ensures that common household tools like flat-head screwdrivers or pliers cannot gain a grip. This makes them a “high-deterrent” fastener for specialized equipment and public utilities.

• Head Styles: Commonly available in Pan Head for surface mounting and Countersunk (CSK) for flush finishes.
