These pins are engineered with three longitudinal grooves swaged into the cylindrical body. When the pin is driven into a hole, the displaced metal creates a spring-like action, locking the pin firmly in place. This “wedge” effect ensures that the pin remains secure even under conditions of severe vibration or shock, making them more reliable than standard parallel pins in many industrial applications.
