These pins are engineered with a diameter slightly larger than the hole they are intended to fit. Upon installation, the longitudinal slot allows the pin to compress, exerting constant outward radial pressure against the hole wall. This unique spring action ensures a secure, permanent hold without the need for additional locking hardware like nuts or cotter pins.
